10 Treadmill Thoughts

I have a love/hate relationship with the treadmill.  I jump on, immediately ready to kick some butt, and then one minute in, I am silently cursing myself in my head.  That happen to you?  Not that I don't appreciate what the treadmill does for my bootay but, it ain't easy!

Here are my top ten thoughts that pop up in my head as soon as I am on the treadmill:

1.  "Dearest safety key, stop trying to hold my hand and jerk me to a stop!  Not cool...so not cool."

2.  As my son is standing at the edge and trying to throw his toy trucks at my feet.  "I wanted to run today, not jump hurdles son!  I am not training for the Olympics...I am not Lolo Jones!  Is he trying to kill me?"

3.  "Dear Spotify...when I am running to some great jams, the last thing I want to come on is some Sarah McLachlan.  I need to feel like I am in a club, not a funeral."

4.  "It's been 18 months since I had Ryan... am I peeing myself a little?"

5.  "Seriously?!  It's only been 30 second?!  How is that possible?  It feels like it's been 5 minutes. My legs hurt, my butt hurts, I'm gonna pass out...yep, I am."

6.  "1/5 a mile!?  What!  No, no, no, I must not be reading that right.  Oh for the love of.....  This is not going to be good."

7.  "Ugh, why am I so sweaty, is it 150 degrees in here?  Annnd, crap, there goes my towel.  Come here Ryan, can you pick that up for mommy ?!  No, no, please don't throw it at me."  Then, hurdle jump over the towel.

8.  "Why is the only thing on TV Keeping up with the Kardashians?"

9.  "I need to join a gym, at least so that I could secretly race the person next to me."

10.  "1 more minute, deep breath, suck in your gut...let's sprint til to end...."  5 seconds into sprint "Never mind, nope, can't do that, legs are jello...let's try walking."

But then, I finish the workout feeling like I am super woman-ish.
